Oscillating Pulley

The oscillating pulley was designed using the online engineering software “Onshape” with the purpose of combining the concept of a radial engine’s piston and circular design with the uniform expansion and contraction of an expanding pulley. while there is no express use for this design as of now, it serves to function as a sensory toy for a child.

By turning the ring gear in the middle of the pulley the inner planet gears turn and drive the piston arms around which push the piston arms in and out.
